Welcome to the Melton ranch. Our interests as a familly has always evolved around the equine world. We have developed
special interest in breeding and raising horses with special characteristics. These special characteristics include
athletic ability, confirmation, and good mind set. We seek to produce horses with adequate size, speed, and agility
in order to meet your needs. As a family, we take special interest in training our own horses. We
start them young, slow and quiet. As time progresses we are able to determine the horses abilitiy and build from there. Although our
family is involved in Team Roping, every horse is trained with different excercises to produce what we consider a well rounded
horse with extensive agility. Our goal is to prepare these colts with the basic foundation to succeed in a variety
of events. Our children contribute by handling these colts as well. They groom them, and handle them when they
are young. This exposure to children helps contribute to the gentleness of our colts. We thank you for visiting
